Mike Casson, President and CEO
Mr. Casson has served as Chief Executive Officer since the Company’s inception and as President and CEO of Casson Media Group, Inc. and its predecessor company since its founding in 1975. He has over 30 years’ experience working with a multitude of financial services firms, public and private companies plus national and international marketers of business to business and consumer products and services. Using fundamentally sound, proven and strategically positioned financial communications, advertising, marketing and media campaigns, he has developed an extensive and impressive list of clients in numerous market sectors.
Mr. Casson received his BBA in marketing from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he also attended graduate school. He has held several securities licenses and was a Registered Investment Advisor and equity partner in a privately owned NASD member firm.
Mr. Casson has served on the Board of Directors and was President of the Direct Marketing Association of North Texas and has been a guest lecturer/presenter at the University of North Texas, The University of Dallas, Southern Methodist University and numerous direct marketing and financial services conferences.
L. David Harrison, CPA, Financial Operations and CFO
Mr. Harrison brings a wide range of experience in the financial services industry, including his service as a Senior Executive Officer and CFO for three major bank holding companies where he planned and executed numerous mergers and acquisitions. As a Senior Executive Officer and CFO of three NYSE listed bank holding companies (Texas American Bancshares in Fort Worth, Texas, MCORP and BancTexas Group of Dallas, Texas), he provided financial management oversight, including mergers and acquisitions, and public and private financing, both domestic and international.
He also served as a Director, Executive Vice President and CFO for Brock Residence Inns (now Marriott Residence Inns), which at the time was a new all-suite hotel concept. Mr. Harrison also served as a Senior Vice President and Director of Finance for its parent company, Brock Hotel Corporation, a NYSE listed company.
In 1987, Mr. Harrison formed LDH & Associates, a financial and small business consulting firm specializing in management assistance to financial services industry clients which included bank holding companies, state and nationally chartered banks and savings and loans as well as newly formed companies of all types seeking funding and business plan development. Mr. Harrison has also served as a director of North Texas Motor Cars, Inc. of Addison, Texas.
Mr. Harrison is a graduate of Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas with a B.S.C. in Accounting, and a graduate of the SMU School of Banking. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas (Certificate & License ID #6263) and was a Registered Securities Representative having Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. Mr. Harrison has taught graduate level courses in finance and accounting at TCU and SMU.
Scott Casson, Vice President
Mr. Casson has been employed with Casson Media Group, Insight Communications’ parent company since 1999. In addition to his sales and marketing support functions, he serves as president of American Direct Marketing Services (ADMS), a database information sales and direct marketing campaign management firm.
Mr. Casson started as a salesman with ADMS, advanced to Senior Account Manager, then Vice President and is now President of the Company. His sales and marketing expertise is in acquisition of major clients, client relationship management, client retention and product development. Since joining the Company, he has produced a 300% increase in sales, becoming a million-dollar producer. Mr. Casson received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Westminster College, in Fulton, Missouri.
Anita L. Mills, Due Diligence/Research Advisor
Ms. Mills has been associated with the securities industry since 1981. Her experience includes owning and operating general securities broker-dealers, providing compliance consulting and investment evaluation expertise to the investment community and assisting client companies in setting up investor relations and operations departments.
Prior to her entry into the securities industry, Ms. Mills worked for an independent oil and gas company as business manager and with a resort/land developer, performing feasibility studies for new business ventures as well as conducting corporate marketing research programs. She has held securities principal’s licenses (in the areas of general securities, financial and operations, options and municipal securities) and has held an investment adviser representative’s registration.
Ms. Mills earned her A.B. degree from the University of California at Davis, majoring in criminal justice research/statistics.
David Muir, Director of Online Marketing
Mr. Muir’s focus since 1996 has been in developing new technologies and methodologies that facilitate integrated marketing campaigns and operational strategies, especially pertaining to online digital solutions. He is an accomplished web site designer and database manager.
He has served as President of ACP Systems since 1997 and as CTO for Beyondigital since 1999. ACP Systems specializes in developing product advertising solutions for the automotive aftermarket and racing venues. ACP Systems’ clients include Texas Motor Speedway, the second largest sports complex in the United States. Beyondigital is an award-winning marketing and creative design firm that produces highly visual “cutting-edge” marketing campaigns.
Prior to 1996, Mr. Muir worked with Temerlin McClain, a major advertising agency, providing creative marketing solutions for clients such as Bell Helicopter, American Airlines, Invisalign and Match.com. Mr. Muir attended Texas A&M University, majoring in business management.
Sam Johnson, Executive Editor and Director of Marketing
Mr. Johnson serves as Executive Editor of several of the Company’s affiliated financial publications and as Director of Marketing for Casson Media Group. Prior to joining the Company he was a strategic advisor on the development of the interactive marketing plan for BenefitMall.com (a spin-off of Humana) as well as the merger and acquisition strategies for several other successful on-line companies. With 38 years of “hands on” experience, he understands the importance that public relations, media relations and strategic marketing/advertising play in the success of start-up as well as mature companies and he has been central in developing unique and successful plans for each.
Prior to Johnson’s independent consulting successes, he served as President and CEO of Point Communications, Inc. a $30+ million advertising agency, public relations and interactive graphics firm. Accounts included Domino Pizza’s 700 store Southwestern and Rocky Mountain Regions; Lone Star Gas Company, one of the nation’s largest public utilities; American Federal Bank; and Bonanza Restaurants, an international restaurant chain with more than 250 stores worldwide. He sold the company in 1996 to pursue personal interests and to develop his consulting business.
Prior to Point Communications, Johnson's professional background included positions as art director, copywriter, creative director, and account executive at two major advertising agencies with billings in excess of $300 million. In those capacities, Johnson produced award-winning campaigns in every medium for clients including Republic National Bank of Dallas, Nautilus, IBM, Zales, First National Bank of Dallas and Toyota USA.
Lee Petty, Director of Business Development
Mr. Petty has been with the Company since 2004. He has worked in the corporate environment since 1972, and has been involved in many facets of sales and marketing management. His experience includes designing marketing plans, developing sales promotions, and the launch and sales of industry-specific, custom publications. He has designed personal marketing programs for high-production real estate agents, as well as conducting sales analyses for an international, luxury-market real estate magazine. Publications he has represented include geographic-specific, industry-specific (e.g., real estate, Spanish-language, telecommunications, air travel and B2B) and general circulation.
Previous to his work in publishing, he was an international lending officer as well as an institutional securities broker and a licensed real estate associate for a commercial developer, purchasing $30 million in commercial properties. Mr. Petty received his BBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Texas at Austin.
